STUDY OF VISUAL PERCEPTION OF STUDENTS ON THE EXAMPLE OF THEIR HOMETOWN

Abstract: The article summarizes the experience of studying the visual perception of students, future designers. The aim of the study was to study the systematic perception of the urban environment and individual public buildings. The building of the Institute of Construction, Architecture and Art, that is, the building in which these students studied, was chosen as the main object of visual perception. The experiment was carried out in three stages, at each of which students reproduced the appearance of the building from memory. A comparison of the drawings and drawings made it possible to confirm the position that memorizing a large amount of visual information is possible only with system knowledge, which will guide perception and memorization.
